Neural Filters are a suite of AI-powered tools built into Adobe Photoshop. They use Adobe Sensei (the company’s machine learning engine) to automate complex edits—like skin smoothing, facial adjustments, colorization, style transfer, and image restoration—within seconds.
Traditional photo retouching and restoration can take hours. Neural Filters reduce that to minutes. They’re most valuable for photographers, digital artists, and content creators who want professional results without manual masking or brushwork. They also let users experiment safely—edits are non-destructive and can be previewed before applying.
The filters process images locally or in the cloud (depending on the filter type). Users open the Filter > Neural Filters panel, select an AI model (e.g., “Skin Smoothing,” “Colorize,” “Depth Blur”), and adjust sliders for intensity. Some filters require a Creative Cloud login for cloud processing.
