Balabolka is a free, Windows-based text-to-speech (TTS) program developed by Ilya Morozov. It supports all installed Microsoft Speech API (SAPI) voices, allowing users to read text aloud or save it as an audio file (WAV, MP3, OGG, or WMA).
It gives users an offline, flexible way to convert documents, ebooks, or scripts into spoken audio — ideal for visually impaired users, readers, students, and content creators. You don’t need an internet connection or cloud credits to use it.
Balabolka reads text from many file formats (TXT, DOCX, EPUB, PDF, HTML, etc.) and lets users customize speech rate, pitch, and voice selection. It can export spoken text to audio files, create MP3 bookmarks, or batch-convert text files.
