EbookMaker was an AI-assisted eBook creation platform launched in 2023. It generated book content from a title and description, then let users edit the text, add images, customize covers, and export the finished book. It also supported audiobook creation and formats such as PDF, EPUB, and Flipbook.
The product has now evolved into Ebook GPT, which expands the workflow into AI writing, illustration, formatting, audiobook creation, and distribution.
The main appeal is speed. You can start with an idea rather than a finished manuscript and use AI to produce a structured digital book. That makes it useful for independent authors, marketers creating lead magnets, educators, and creators selling digital products.
It is particularly interesting if you want more than text generation. The current platform combines writing, illustrations, layout, and audiobook production in one workflow.
The original EbookMaker workflow used credits based on book length: up to six chapters required one credit, 7–12 chapters required two, and 13–18 chapters required three. Editing and downloading did not consume additional credits.
The newer Ebook GPT experience adds visual editing, more than 20 styles, AI-generated illustrations, and audiobook creation. It can export content for PDF, Kindle, and audiobook workflows and promotes distribution through platforms including Amazon, Hotmart, Kirvano, Kiwify, and CartPanda.
Watch out: AI-generated books still need human editing and fact-checking. The company’s current transition also means older EbookMaker pricing and features should not automatically be assumed to represent the new Ebook GPT product.
