Storybird is an online writing platform designed primarily for K–12 classrooms. It combines professional illustrations with structured writing activities to help students create stories, poems, and long-form writing in a guided environment.
Many students struggle to start writing or stay engaged. Storybird lowers that barrier by using artwork as a creative hook and giving teachers a controlled, classroom-safe space to manage writing assignments. It’s especially useful for improving writing confidence, practicing narrative structure, and tracking student progress without juggling multiple tools.
Teachers create classes and assign writing activities (short stories, poems, or longer projects). Students choose from curated artwork collections and write directly in the browser. Teachers can comment, give feedback, and assess work in one place.
