Sudowrite is an AI-first creative writing app built for fiction writers — novelists, screenwriters, and serial fiction authors. It places an AI “writing partner” beside your manuscript with tools for brainstorming, expanding scenes, refining dialogue, and keeping story continuity.
Authors use Sudowrite to escape writer’s block, iterate on character and world details, and speed the drafting + revision loop without losing their voice. Instead of generic marketing text, Sudowrite focuses on narrative problems (scene pacing, sensory detail, POV shifts), which is useful if you’re producing long-form fiction or serial work.
You work in a simple editor with a Story Bible (character/world memory) and scene-focused tools: First Draft (outline → prose), Describe (add sensory detail), Rewrite/Quick Edit (change tone/line-level), Story Engine (scene planning), and Quick Chat (ask about your story). Sudowrite combines external LLMs (Anthropic’s Claude, OpenAI models, open models) with its own narrative tooling and processing. It runs on a credit model: different subscription tiers buy monthly credits for AI generations.
